This is basically an archive of all that different DDR songs that have been released over time. Step 3: You will be on a page called “Platform”. Right below the menu to the right is a link that says “View Simfiles”. Step 2: You will be on a page that says “Welcome to the DDR & DS Simfiles Section”. A website titled “Simfiles – ZIv – ” should appear in the first and/or second result. Step 1: Using a search engine, type in “simfiles” or “download simfiles”. A simfile is essentially a bunch of files that the Stepmania program uses to display songs within the game itself. If you do not have one, I recommend 7ZIP as it is free and very easy to use. *Note – To complete this tutorial, you will need a program that can extract files from compressed folders.
If you don’t have Stepmania yet, you can find out how to get it here. You’ll be able to add whatever songs you find on the Internet as long as they are already a simfile (more on that later). Luckily, the process to add songs to Stepmania is simple once you get the hang out it. Unfortunately, Stepmania does not come with much right off the bat, and it certainly needs more material for us to enjoy. Submissions close on December 29, 2021, and we plan a final release in January 2022.ĭon't forget, music submissions for Serenity are always open, even if a new pack is not currently in development we're constantly revisiting and reviewing the submission backlog as new submissions come in.So, you’ve got Stepmania! Now that we have our dancing program, we need to add songs to Stepmania. You can also submit new charts for existing songs in game types that don't have them yet. If you're not used to GitHub, you can still send us chart files manually through the Discord server too. We've created a new Discord server specifically for Serenity development, In addition, we will now be using pull requests on a branch of Serenity's Git repository as our preferred method of submitting contributions, in order to keep things organized and make it easier for us to identify possible issues. But to help lead towarrds it, we're taking chart and graphics submissions for a Winter Update to Volume I that consists of three new songs: OutFox Serenity Volume I was our first-ever pack release, and we would like to thank everyone who took time to contribute or check it out! We are planning to formally launch the submissions process for Serenity Volume II in early-2022.
